I started off from a running background and then tried a few orienteering events which lead to doing mountain marathons. In 2004 I successfully completed in a few rounds of the Irish AR Champs and got hooked. 2005 WARC was my first attempt at a long race and like the majority of the teams we succumbed to the Scottish Weather early in the race. 2006 headed back to Scotland to set the record straight and finished 5th in WARC.
This was followed by a 4th place finish in Gale Force 12.
I currently spend loads of my spare time promoting and planning races in Ireland (CCAR series, Cooley Raid and Diamond Quest Ireland).
Although I spend a lot of time planning races my main passion still lies with competing in them and plan on letting the competing take a more important role with a group of likeminded people comprising the No Frontiers Team.
